I just attended a conference “Green Building Values” – an event in the framework of Vietnam Green Architecture Week 2018 and this time I told the story of developing green projects in affordable housing segment of Capital House. In March, we plan to hold a workshop about green buildings for low and middle income housing segment.

With our practical experience at Capital House, we always want to emphasize to other investors that projects in all segments would become green buildings, including affordable housing projects. In fact, developing green buildings does not costly as the prejudice of many real estate businesses.

My presentation was at the last minute of the conference but the hall was still crowded. I was really surprised because everyone listened attentively and passionately discussed in the question and answer part until nearly 1 p.m while the program was expected to end at 12 p.m.

According to our own practical experience, we confirm that developing green building does not cost too much at all. I also took the EcoHome Phuc Loi project as an example in my presentation and clearly clarified which items contributed to the incremental cost and which item did not affect or even reduced the investment cost.
